This is a Vintage Original Ink and Watercolor Painting by Carl Shaffer, Philadelphia WPA Artist, on watercolor paper. Subject are figures, male and female, maybe related to theater? Size is apx. 8 3/4” x 12”. This doesn’t appear to be signed, but definitely by Carl Shaffer. This came directly from Carl Shaffer, when he lived on Elfreth’s Alley, Philadelphia, in the 1990s, several years before he passed away. We met Carl at his home, and bought a lot of his work at the time. Carl Shaffer1904-1993) We have more of Carl’s work that we’ll be listing.
