ABOUT THE ARTIST: Leshchuk Nikolay Semenovich Born December 14, 1926, in the village of Velyka Rostovka, Mikhailovsky district (currently Vinnytsia region). Studied at the Kiev Tank Technical School (1944); graduated from the art department of the Krasnodar Pedagogical Institute (Russia, 1965); studied at the People's Correspondence University of Arts (Moscow); graduated from the Poltava Pedagogical School (1970s). Painter. Landscapes and portraits are noted for their well-thought-out composition and color. Participant of the Great Patriotic War. Worked in the Mukachevo trust "Zakarpatbud" (since 1974), then as a teacher at the children's art school. Participated in exhibitions: city, regional, republican, all-Union (since the 1980s). Personal exhibitions - in Mukachevo (2011, posthumous - 2015). Main works: "Girl in National", "Wife" (1980s), "Self-portrait" (1980s; 1989), "Family" (1987), "Autumn Landscape" (1990s), "Sculptor V. Svyda" (1998). Some paintings are kept in the Mukachevo Historical Museum "Palanok". Lived and worked in the city of Mukachevo, Zakarpattia region, died on March 7, 2015.
