This wonderfully atmospheric watercolor on paper is signed lower left: "Andrew Schwartz". A paper label from an old dust cover states: "Andrew T. Schwartz Fulton Street Bklyn N. Y. #12 A Quiet Stream $35.00." 10" x 14", matted to: 15" x 18". Andrew T. Schwartz (1867-1942) studied with Frank Duveneck at the Cincinnati Art Academy and with H. Siddons Mowbray at the Art Students League. He was a member of the National Society of Mural Painters, the Salmagundi Club, the Architectural League of New York, Allied Artists of America, among others. Condition: Old repair to tiny hole just below signature, remnants of old mounting on verso, otherwise good condition. Shipping Notes: We ship same day via USPS upon receipt of payment before 3 PM.
