We have made no attempt to remove it. SOLD AS PICTURE WITH MATTE The opening in the matte measures 15" X 12" The painting is in overall great condition with only a few light scratches from storage. There are no tears. It is unframed. Overall excellent condition. We do not have any original provenance/receipt for the painting.
