This listing is for a rare original artwork by artisr Harriet E Boyd. Titled, “Sandra”, and dated 1949, it features a young Womans Portrait. It is an Original Artwork done with oil pastels. One interesting feature is that the matting, which perfectly matches the portrait in color, was actually hand painted in watercolors & ink by the artist to match the portrait so well. This neat little feature is one not often seen, and adds an extra personal touch to the piece. The name Sandra is also written out in an attractive font. She is dressed conservatively but in nice clothing, with a simple strand of pearls around her neck. It is really her beautiful smile and shining eyes that draw the eyes here, rather than lavish garments. The classic style is excellent for many rooms and a large variety of styles of decor. It makes this an excellent extra piece for your collection, one your friends definitely wont have! It is a great collectors item, for use display gifting or decor. It is in good condition, with no major damage. There are no large stains or other areas of water damage. The hand painted matting has one area of fingerprinting, they arent mine or the original owners (they claimed to have never opened the frame) so one could guess that that may belong to the artist, or Sandra herself! There are no major areas of smudging or fading to the work itself, it has remained protected in what I believe to be the original frame.
