"Contemporary Slovak Art: Works on Paper" is a 32 page, 8"x11.5" softcover written by Lee Karpiscak and Ivan Jancar, and published jointly in 1994 by Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic, City Gallery of Bratislava, The University of Arizona Art Museum, and Embassy of the Slovak Republic in a limited edition of 600 copies. Following a four page introductory essay on modern art in Slovakia, it reproduces, in color, pieces by ten artists: Stanislav Cerny, Dusan Kallay, Robert Brun, Vladimir Gazovic, Agnesa Sigetova, Otis Laubert, Josef Jankovic, Karol Baron, Matej Kren, and Karol Pichler. There are brief biographical sketches of each artist, with lists of exhibitions. The book is in very good condition, with minimal wear to the cover, unmarked interior, sound binding.
