Description

Antique 1939 original ink drawing/Gouache painting. Depicts an intriguing landscape scene of trees and hills complete with a large concrete bridge stretching over a road. Medium is ink and Gouache on paper done in a Pointilism style. One can note that the entire piece (with the exception of the bridge and road) is drawn in tiny dots! Signed and dated Al 1939 twice in the bottom right hand corner. Protected behind glass and matted and frame in its original gold accented dark wood frame. Ready to hang. In Good overall condition. Exhibits gentle fading and toning. Well preserved. Matting exhibits gentle staining to the top right corner but this does not affect the drawing. Frame in Excellent condition; clean and bright. Eye catching. Displays handsomely! Provenance comes from a large collection of art purchased from the estate of a southern Massachusetts art dealer. Measures 12 3/4” x 9 3/4”.
